Streamcentives Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Streamcentives platform and services. It is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

By using Streamcentives, you agree to comply with this AUP. We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time, with changes effective upon posting.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not post, upload, share, or transmit content that:

2.1 Illegal Content

  • Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law
  • Promotes illegal activities or provides instructions for illegal conduct
  • Involves child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploitation of minors
  • Relates to drug trafficking, weapons trafficking, or human trafficking
  • Constitutes or promotes terrorism or violent extremism

2.2 Harmful Content

  • Harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates others
  • Contains hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
  • Contains graphic violence, gore, or disturbing imagery
  • Sexually explicit content (unless in age-restricted areas where permitted)

2.3 Deceptive Content

  • False, misleading, or deceptive information
  • Impersonation of individuals, organizations, or brands
  • Fake reviews, testimonials, or endorsements
  • Misinformation about health, elections, or emergencies
  • Scams, phishing attempts, or fraudulent schemes

2.4 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Copyright infringement (see our DMCA Policy)
  • Trademark violations
  • Unauthorized use of others' intellectual property
  • Content you do not have rights to share

2.5 Privacy Violations

  • Personal or confidential information of others without consent (doxxing)
  • Non-consensual intimate images
  • Private communications without consent

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not engage in activities that:

3.1 Platform Manipulation

  • Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to artificially inflate SP, followers, or engagement
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or manipulate systems
  • Participate in or organize coordinated inauthentic behavior
  • Buy or sell SP, accounts, or engagement outside official channels
  • Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities for unfair advantage

3.2 Security Violations

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
  • Probe, scan, or test system vulnerabilities without authorization
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or connected networks
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Attempt to reverse engineer the Service

3.3 Spam and Abuse

  • Send unsolicited messages or bulk communications
  • Post repetitive or irrelevant content
  • Use misleading metadata, hashtags, or descriptions
  • Engage in comment spam or engagement pods for manipulation

3.4 Commercial Misuse

  • Use the Service for unauthorized commercial purposes
  • Resell or redistribute Service access without authorization
  • Scrape or harvest data for commercial use
  • Run pyramid schemes, MLM promotions, or similar activities

4. Creator-Specific Guidelines

Creators on Streamcentives must additionally:

4.1 Campaign Integrity

  • Fulfill all campaign obligations and deliver promised rewards
  • Not create misleading campaigns with undeliverable rewards
  • Respond to fan inquiries in a reasonable timeframe
  • Maintain accurate descriptions of rewards and requirements

4.2 Advertising Compliance

  • Clearly disclose sponsored content per FTC guidelines
  • Not promote prohibited products (tobacco, illegal drugs, gambling where prohibited)
  • Ensure advertising content is truthful and not misleading

5. Sponsor-Specific Guidelines

Sponsors on Streamcentives must:

  • Provide truthful information about products and services
  • Honor payment commitments and escrow terms
  • Not request creators to violate platform guidelines or laws
  • Comply with all applicable advertising regulations
  • Respect creator autonomy and creative control within agreed terms

6. Enforcement

6.1 How We Enforce

We use a combination of:

  • Automated detection systems (AI-assisted content moderation)
  • Human review by our Trust & Safety team
  • User reports and community feedback
  • Proactive monitoring for high-risk content

6.2 Actions We May Take

For violations, we may:

  • Warn: Issue a warning for minor or first-time violations
  • Remove Content: Delete violating content without notice
  • Restrict Features: Limit access to certain features temporarily
  • Suspend Account: Temporarily suspend account access
  • Terminate Account: Permanently ban for severe or repeated violations
  • Forfeit SP: Revoke SP obtained through fraudulent means
  • Report to Authorities: Report illegal activity to law enforcement

6.3 Appeals

If you believe we made an error in enforcing this policy, you may appeal by contacting trust@streamcentives.io within 14 days of the enforcement action. Include your account information and a detailed explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect.
